Hey - I am new to this forum and this is my first comment. This is a copy of my comment on CanAm Talk regarding last week's ride which was partly on the North Missaukee trail.
Rode the trails from Manton (just north of Cadillac) to Houghton Lake this past Sunday. The round trip was just a little over 123 miles.
The weather was great; we had some snow flurries, some mud, partly sunny later in the day, and cool.
This was the first time I have rode this trail and we had a ball. There are certainly some areas that can be fast. Some beautiful rolling curves and the trail was for the most part pretty smooth.
The trail was pretty much deserted, we only seen two quads, two side by sides, five dirt bikes loading up, and maybe four SUVs.
We did get stopped by a sheriff, checking for stickers, he was OK and we were on our way.
I think it is time for hand and thumb warmers.
We used our Collett communicators and this made the ride much more enjoyable.
Ridding a little late in the year seems to be a good time as this area would normally be much busier according to the sheriff.

renegadedave Welcome.... Yes, Riding later in the year is great. Cooler weather is a plus too. Few years back i put on a ride called "The MonkeyButt Ride" Everyone who came got a bottle of Monkey Butt. It was a late winter/early spring ride. There was snow, rivers of melting snow, dust. We all had a great time, Since then i have been wanting to go again. Finally get to...
Your welcome to join us if you'd like. Again, Welcome. Tim

TOOLTIME - Thanks for the invite and thanks for the work you do keeping this site up.
I will be heading my place on Lake Superior at Whitefish Point for a week or two which will include some more late season riding.
I rode the Cedar Creek trails near Muskegon today, it was a good day.
