Well i started my little project today. I went with the Plastic Paint. The color is called "Silver Hammered". I did this exact samething to my Warrior before there was plastic paint. The color was "Black Hammered" it turned out nice. I will post pics as the saga continues. The front cowling is a work drying. Tonight i took off the rest of the plastic and will start again at work on Tuesday. As for the tank, i am going to take that off, sand it down and most likely paint that black. I found some TW200 Graphics from a 2003 for the tank, this will accent the Blue frame...Blah... The OEM decals are 130.00.....Yikes...I better start shoveling some driveways.....

when painting plastic you must add a flex additive to your clear coat. use 1 lite coat dry to touch then add 2 med.coats.

Chris, i am using that paint made for plastic. Should be good to go. Besides, whats the worse that can happen, it chip off, hits me in the eye and i wreck...

I thought that is why you wear goggles when you ride, to protect your eyes from "chipping paint"

the paint you are using should be good. i used the hammered black on my honda worked great. just saying if anyone uses any other paint they should clear coat with flex additive . that helps stop the chipping and cracking.
take some pictures.
