Hey everyone, we are hosting the Lake Chemung Hard Water Tourney January 31st, 2009. I thought it would be a cool idea to have the people from Michigan Offroad Magazine officiate the contest. This involves measuring and logging fish and then reporting it to the tournament officials. We had a lot of fun last year cruising around and meeting everyone. Its also a reason to get out and ride. So, if you don't mind touching fish, a little bit of cold weather (last year it was 40, and still 12 inches of ice), and having a good time, let me know through the tournament website. www.lakechemunghardwatertourney.com

I may check into that Michigan Land Rescue Team. Let me give you a brief summary. We are sportsmen and women, we hate illegal dumping. We schedule cleanup events to properly dispose of illegal dumping. It is pretty simple. No politics, just results. ( that sounds a little pitchy) The group is evolving. Each event has now become a reason to check out a different part of Michigan and experience what that area has to offer. Our first event in 2010 is in Arenac County, and I am really looking forward to doing some steelhead fishing when I'm up there. I know a dozen members and I will make the trip and check it all out. We also have some dedicated members in the area who will be doing some recruiting to make this a nice event. All in all, the events are pretty fun even though it is technically work, the people are great, it seems they all enjoy the outdoors a little differently and I have learned more about Michigan outdoors in the past year than the rest of my life combined., which is still alot closer to nothing than it is to everything. If you do check out the website, thank you. If you have any questions, shoot me an email.

I got it Tim and thank you. I put up a link to Michigan Offroad Magazine on the tournament website as the sponsor of the officiating crew. I still have to put a link on the MLRT site, I will get that one done before the cleanup season when the traffic picks up.

Will have to sit this one out. One thing I cannot tolerate is the smell of fish. I avoid anything fish or sea or food related that smells of fish.

I am single. Haven't found a woman able to bear being around me long enough to determine if I have a problem with that.
