Well last word in Saginaw was that the "Z" bridge will close for a min of two months per side to complete the cable changes that are need on the bridge.
Seems this type of bridge should never need the calbes replaced but M-DOT was useing data from the south where no road salts are used. Here in the big M we all know how much raod salts go down.
This is all still in the planning stages but looks like it will be this summer, yes peek time July & Aug. The plan is to move all traffic to I-675 for the cloure should just be hell for everyone south of the bridge.
I will do my best to keep you all posted on dates or changes.

Well I just found more infomation on the bridge and it looks like this won't happen for a few years.
"WNEM-TV 5 reported MDOT plans to close the Zilwaukee Bridge in 2011. The planned shutdown will extend for two years for resurfacing."
So 2011-2013 will be hell on I-75 north of Saginaw but for the next few years we can be heppy again.
