My son-in-law to be just bought a Raptor and is dying to go riding with me. We're thinking about the Gladwin trail - since it's near our place upnorth. I've never been on it - and a "big dummy" in terms of this - Are these trails marked? Is it just a big Loop? Somebody educate this big dummy a bit........

THE GLADWIN TRAIL IS VERY WELL MARKED. YOU HAVE A SOUTH LOOP AND A NORTH LOOP. GO HERE FOR A DNR MAP. www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,1607,7-153-10365_15070-38330--,00.html

Well marked, nice trail, the only issue I have is the winter snow with the snow machines out.
They tend to go a bit faster then us.

Not sure when we're going - it's going to be Spring. My daughter wants a Sportsman for a wedding gift - she has her priorities !! (Atta Girl) The two of them will be headin down either the Gladwin or the Leota trail in Spring.

How long would it take you to ride either of the loops? Tell me more about them - mud, trail width, etc My daughter is also looking at the Polaris Hawkeye - which is like a scaled down version of the HO500. Heard anything about these? See: www.polarisindustries.com/en-us/ATV/2007Models/Hawkeye/
