atvfrontier.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=33923.htmlI'm looking at the black one.. Well I’m thinking about upgrading to a new machine, I was going to hold off and just keep the yellow dog but I think its time plus I have a sucker, oh no, I mean a buyer for the machine. Going to sell it to my Daughters Mother-in-law, they need a machine to pull the Jet Ski to the water in Caseville and Old Yeller will work just fine for that, plus they can use the plow up there as well. It’s not a done deal yet she kinda on the fence but Becky would like it so maybe she can help things a long, we’ll see. I like the idea of a ture 550, (558) I don't see the need for more power, I just don't use it, maybe in WV, but I do like this machine. Any input from you? Please

No I haven't looked at the Kings yet, I was just thinking the 550 would take me back to two yahamas, nice having the same machines if for no other reason for the serviceing.
I will take a look I know you and Scott like your machines.
Where heading down to Becky's for the 4 years olds brithday party and I should know more then (sunday) her Mother-in-law will be there and I'll see if she is still interested.

Tom, Very nice machine. Does the 550 have the power steering like the 700? I like the idea of "Blackbeard" too! I hope things work out for you and you can pick up a new machine.

Well Tom I can tell you I love my Griz 700. I have always been a fan of the Can-Am power but the power steering is the best. You can ride and ride and ride without the fatigue. Plus it really works well when snagging the roots and really dampens the impact. Depending on the rides (I only make it to a few) you are welcome to take mine for a spin.
I believe that 550 is the same size as the 700 and probably has all the power anyone needs. If that was an option when I bought mine I might have seriously considered it. Anyway have fun in your decision.

The only thing different between the 550 and the 700 is the engine. Actually even that is the same, merely has a smaller bore in the cylinder and a smaller EFI unit. Available with or withour Power Steering. I highly recommend the EPS. As well as the Grizzly itself. Get the 700 if you can, better too much power than not enough. Either way you will really like this machine.
Blackbeard??? Are you going to put whiskers on the Bear???

Thanks Guys, yes it will be a fun decision, part of it’s the power but the bigger part is the money. Depending on how much I can milk out off the her in-laws (I’m only kidding when I say that) will make up my mind on which machine.
I stopped today at Woody’s Cycle in Tawas, they didn’t have any 09 yet but he said they should be in mid next week, I was hoping to see on up close and personal.
I got Lois’ 450 from Hackers in Houghton Lake and will likely go back there. The owner of Woody’s said the 550 will be on the same frame as the older 660 which he said is just a bit smaller then the new 700’s, that’s what he said anyway.
Yes the 550 comes either way with EPS or without the difference is $700. The real nice feature is all wheel engine braking, nice for the Hatfield trips, old yeller didn’t do so good going down hill. So ya 4 brakes.
I checked out a few web site and a few comparison and so far everyone had good things to say but then we all know how these factory test setups are run.
Its like old yeller is go-n out to pasture, reduced to hauling a jet ski up and down the shore line, feel kinda of bad, ya not that bad… It’s been a good machine 5 years of northern Michigan plowing, 4000 miles of trail riding. I wish the old gal good luck in her new life,,, wait its still here better not count my eggs just yet.
Blackbeard??? Are you going to put whiskers on the Bear???
Jerry I just mite have to do that, with Tim’s help.

I think that would be a nice machine for someone. It's just not my speed plus Lois enjoys ride her Yahama and I don't ever see her want to get a two-up. I have been asking around at work for Jeff and I my have a few interested but you know how it goes all talk at this point. US27 MotorSport said they would like to see the Poalirs for a possible trade but I don't have any open weekends till after the "Ride", you know... the Ride...
