Rode the Cedar Creek trail near Muskegon yesterday (Sunday). What a beautiful day!
If you have not rode these trails they are great, extremely tight in some areas for quads, with just enough room for my Renegade, regular side by side units would not make it through, pretty hard to get over 30 mph anywhere. There was no mud there on this trip as there has been little rain lately. There are several loops and easy to get back to the staging area between loops for a break if desired.
On our break, back at the parking lot we found the meat wagon there waiting, and soon after we arrived the six wheel meat wagon came out of the woods with a busted up body on board. The guy will be nursing a broken leg for some time. He was riding a two-wheeler, and apparently connected with a tree, I presume, as I did not get any factual details.
My riding buddy connected with a trail mine, it whipped the bar from his hand and his right hand broke the hand protector, luckily, his hand was not damaged, other than a slight bruising. On a previous trip there, he bent a rim on his Outlander.
This is the southernmost trail on the DNR trail map. I like riding it but we need more trails to the south.

Thanks for the write up. I have never been there myself. Another to add to the list of "need to ride". Hoe the dude is alright...

I have ridden that trail many times. It seems that each time I am there, someone is taken away in an ambulance. The trail is predominantly run by two-wheelers that go very fast on the almost 50-inch trail. It is fun technical ride of 27 miles if run both loops. The north loop is about 14 miles and the south loop is 13 miles. Good times though each time I have been there.
