Scott and I are in the planning stages of a Upper Peninsula Dual Sport ride. Plans are sketchy as of yet. But here is what we have so far:
1) Trailer and drop across The Big Mac. 2) Pack light, and head off Via as many dirt roads, Two tracks, Forest roads as possible. Only taking a back pack and clothes for few nights stay at different locations.

Is this something that a URAL could do, as well? I have a friend who just got a Ural and would LOVE to do something like this. We have gone on a couple 3 day kayaking trips down the Manistee river and he's a pro with the whole wilderness camping stuff.

What is a URAL? This Dualsport ride will contain no camping. Just motel/hotel. We are, in another thread talking about doing an ATV camp and ride.

Ride Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Return to truck Sunday night. 2) Starting off from St.Ignace area. 3) Day 1 head to Munising or if timing is good, maybe Marquette. 4) Leave From Munising or Marquette and head towards Hougton and the Kewinaw Peninsula.
